Leadership Team

Nikolay Yarmov, Executive Director

Nikolay Yarmov has been occupying the position of Executive Director of CEED Bulgaria since its inception. Mr. Yamov has more than 12 years of extensive experience in finance; private sector development; SME development; micro-lending; equity investment; and an array of loan guarantee facilities. During his employment with the USAID Mission to Bulgaria as Senior Advisor – Enterprise Development, he has a proven record of successful $50 million program design and implementation. As a result and in recognition of his professionalism and achievements, Mr. Yarmov has achieved numerous honors and awards, to include the Meritorious Award for Designing the Regional Commodity Exchange Concept, and the On-The-Spot Award for exceptional support to the SME round table discussions. Mr. Yarmov continues his support for the growth and development of SMEs in Bulgaria through consultancy work, participation in international round table discussions,  training courses provided by CEED and other numerous ventures to  assist young entrepreneurs in their early stages of development. 

Nadezhda Tasheva, Project Manager

Nadezhda Tasheva joined the CEED Bulgaria team in 2008. Ms Tasheva has a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the Sofia University. She has work experience in project management, entrepreneurship and public relations. Her work at CEED is related to various activities promoting entrepreneurs in the country; application; project management and reporting; organizing of conferences, workshops and meetings; liaising with various institutions. Some of the projects she managed are “Demonstration Renovation of Single-Family Residential Buildings” financed by UNDP, “Increasing the professional qualification and skills of the employees of Adecco, Bulgaria. Ms Tasheva is interested in the High Technology business incubators in Bulgaria and their success.

Ivanka Angelkova, Project Manager

Ivanka Angelkova joined CEED Bulgaria in 2010. Ms Angelkova has a Master’s Degree in English and American Studies. Prior to joining CEED, she was Project Assistant and Project Manager at the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS). Prior to becoming part of the UN mission in Bulgaria, she was Coordinator and Translator for the USAID Financial Sector Integrity Project. Ms Angelkova has vast experience in administering projects and working with various international organizations both from the governmental and non-governmental sector.
